Di Wei Teochew Restaurant embodies the authenticity of Teochew cuisine, with its emphasis on using only the freshest of ingredients for its wide variety of Teochew dishes. Serving up delicious dishes with light flavours is distinctive of Teochew cuisine in Singapore.

Signature dishes at Di Wei Teochew Restaurant include the Teochew Cold Crab, Teochew Fried Rice Noodles with Preserved Radish, and Yam Paste with Gingko Nuts or Pumpkin.

Characterised by spacious round tables and traditional Chinese decor, patrons enjoy well-rounded Teochew meals prepared by an experienced team of Chinese chefs in The Oval @ Seletar Aerospace Park and within Food Canopy in Botanic Gardens.

Chef’s Profile

Co-Founder and Head Chef, Khoo Tai Guan

With more than 50 years of culinary experience under his belt, Head Chef Khoo Tai Guan is the man behind Di Wei Teochew Restaurant’s delectable cuisine. Starting out from humble beginnings, he worked his way up starting out as a kitchen helper to being an Assistant Chef.

Chef Khoo’s wide variation of cooking knowledge in Chinese restaurants came from working in home-style Chinese restaurants to seafood restaurants. His many years of experience have allowed him to perfect his craft in cooking up delicious signatures such as Teochew Cold Crab, Pork Rib Yam Ring and Cai Po Kway Teow at Di Wei Teochew Restaurant.

Throughout his years in the industry, Chef Khoo has gained recognition for his culinary skills such as cooking one of the Top 50 most delicious dishes in Singapore, Char Kway Teow, back in 2006.

Di Wei Teochew started out with humble beginnings at a food stall within Food Canopy at Botanic  Gardens back in August 2014.

With a modest following who have recognized the goodness in Di Wei’s authentic Teochew fare, the brand decided to further authenticate the Teochew dining experience with its own restaurant space in Seletar Aerospace Park.

Authentic teochew cuisine by the skilled and experienced chefs of Di Wei can be found at its first outlet located in Cluny Food Hall*, a food court in Botanic Gardens.

Di Wei’s flagship restaurant is located at 1 The Oval in Seletar Aerospace Park – a 140-seater Teochew restaurant, furnished with traditional Chinese decor and design.

*Our Outlet at Food Canopy (Singapore Botanic Gardens) will cease operations on 9 February 2021.
